  1. Veertu is Great

Last time, I discussed how to install Qemu on your Mac. This time, I want to discuss Veertu, an impressive virtualization solution for OS X. I shelled out the money to buy the full version, and I’m going to share my thoughts briefly on what I like, and what I don’t like, about the program.

  2. Install QEMU on OS X

I like virtual machines, and I especially like qemu, the popular open-source virtualization software written by Fabrice Bellard. Unfortunately, qemu has a reputation of being incredibly difficult to install on Macs. Normally, one could use a package manager such as Homebrew or MacPorts to install it, but I didn’t want to install a package manager and clutter up my system when I really only needed one piece of software.

  3. Easily Parse nginx Logs on UNIX

This is a very short post covering how to easily access several different sets of information from the logs of your nginx server using only tools that you can find on any standard *nix machine (I personally run FreeBSD on a virtual private server from DigitalOcean). These will probably also work on Linux and possibly even Mac OS X, though I haven’t tried these on those platforms, due to the fact that I do not use them for hosting.

  5. Mac Linux USB Loader v3.1 Beta Released w/ Kali Linux Support

Hello, everyone. Long time no see. I am happy to announce the release of the Mac Linux USB Loader 3.1 beta. This is strictly pre-release, and I do not recommend upgrading unless you have some experience dealing with beta software.

Here’s a short post showing a little trick that I found.

  7. Developing EFI Programs: Part 1

Today, I’m going to write the first of a three-part series on how to write EFI programs. The focus of this lesson is writing EFI programs which can run on a Mac, but I don’t discriminate too much between different platforms.
